Your degree audit is an evaluation from the Registrar's office that tracks the progress of your degree program - this includes the courses you have taken, grades received, and grade point averages. You can also use your degree audit to see what courses you will need in order to complete your degree program.
Follow below for explanations for what the different areas of your degree audit mean.

At a Glance
- This area tells you the current program you have selected and allows you to switch between your programs quickly. You can change which program(s) you would like to apply to your degree audit. For instructions, please see our answer about how to View your Degree Audit.
- This section displays your Cumulative GPA (GPA of all college courses) and your Institution GPA (GPA of OC courses). The program’s required GPA is also displayed.
- This section displays your degree program’s major, department(s), year issued, and anticipated graduation date.
- This button opens the Program Notes
Program Notes
You can access Program Notes by clicking on “Show Program Notes” (see previous section).
- ACT and SAT scores. If you have questions regarding how this applies to your personal degree audit, see your advisor.
- This tells your advisor's name, also known as your new best friend.
- The number of credit hours you can have with a grade of D, and how many hours you have accumulated.
- The number of graduate credit hours you can have with a grade of C.
- The name of your personal financial counselor (PFC).
- The number of transfer credits you have accumulated since you started at OC. The maximum allowed is 15 credit hours.
- The program start term.
Course Listing
If you scroll down on the Program Notes you will find your Course Listing. This is a list of all of the classes (with grades) on your degree audit in alphabetical order. These are ALL of your classes you have registered for and started (even those you withdrew from), whether they are applied to this degree program or not.

This area of your degree audit informs you of your current standing in:
- The University Core Curriculum
- Major-Specific Courses
- Other Courses (this section includes courses substituted with either ACT or SAT scores)
University Core Curriculum
- University Core Curriculum refers to your General Education classes, or Gen Eds.
- Note there is a MINIMUM GPA requirement for most Gen Ed programs
You will notice throughout your degree audit that different courses are marked as “Planned,” "In-Progress," or "Completed."
- Planned - This course is planned in your course schedule.
- In-Progress - You are actively taking this course, but have not yet completed the course.
- Completed - You passed the course.
