Save your data to one of these locations:

(If you do not know how to access these locations, visit our instructions for connecting to a server on Mac or on Windows.)

Students

Save your data to one of these locations:

  • For Windows, “\\judah\students\firstname.lastname”
  • For Mac, “smb://judah/students/firstname.lastname”

(If you do not know how to access these locations, visit our instructions for connecting to a server on Mac or on Windows.)

You can achieve this easily by copying and pasting or clicking and dragging the files that you would like to back up into the suggested locations.

Save Your Data to the New Location

Save Your Data to the New Location
  1. Open a window at the location of your data.
  2. Open a second window to the location to which you would like to back up your data.
  3. Click on the folder(s) you want to back up and then either copy and paste or click and drag to the new location.
  • If your Personal Network Location doesn’t have enough space please assess the data already on there and remove any personal data. You may even be able to remove any old data.
  • We ask that you backup all of your personal data (Music, Pictures etc.) to a personal external device (personal computer, external hard drive, CD/DVD, flash drive etc.) or a third party storage provider, such as Dropbox.
  • Please note that programs cannot be backed up. They will need to be re-installed on the new laptop (Instructions for re-installing programs).

this is pointless. there isn't enough room to really back up anything and make this useful. why give us space at all if it is going to be so small
