Install Office 2010 for Windows 8

 

This page provides instructions for downloading and installing Microsoft Office 2010 on Windows 8. In order to install this program, you must be either:

 

Connect to Server

  1. Go to your Start Menu.
  2. Click on the search icon.
  3. In the search box, type "\\software\dist" (and do not press enter).
  4. Click on the result that appears below.

 

Sign in to Network

  1. Enter your entire OC email address (ending in "oc.edu," "eagles.oc.edu," etc.).
  2. Enter your OC network password.
  3. Click "OK."

 

Navigate to Software > Dist > Microsoft > Office > 2010

Navigate to Software > Dist > Microsoft > Office > 2010

From the "Dist" folder, navigate to the "2010" folder by opening the "Microsoft" folder, then the "Office" folder, and finally the "2010" folder.

 

 

Double-Click to Open "setup.exe"

Double-Click to Open "setup.exe"

From within the "2010" folder, find "setup" or "setup.exe" and double-click it to launch installation.

Sign in to Network Again

Sign in to Network Again

You may be prompted to sign in to the network again.

  1. Enter your entire OC email address (ending in "oc.edu," "eagles.oc.edu," etc.).
  2. Enter your OC network password.
  3. Click "OK."
