OC Public Printing Policy and Pricing

What is the public printing policy?

Public Printing Policy

Public printers and copiers provided by OC on campus should be used to produce printed materials related to the university (items required for class only). The print systems should not be used to produce advertisements or other similar printed materials.

Printing Account Balance

Printing accounts are allotted a credit balance of $30.00 per semester for printing/copying services. Any remaining balance at the end of the term is carried to the next term. There is a maximum print balance cap of $60.00. Each print made to a public printer is deducted from the printing account balance. Public printers can be found in many locations across campus and, in your list of available printers, are identified by location.

Checking and Adjusting Your Printing Account Balance

You can check your printing balance online.

You may request to increase your printing balance.

  • To request this increase, submit a request via email to Support Central at supportcentral@oc.edu
  • Staff will review your print history to ensure that your previous prints have complied with this print policy before providing an increased print balance.

Copiers

To better serve the OC community, a new copy card system has been installed on OC campus public copiers. This will allow a person to make copies on campus copiers and charge those copies against their allotted network printing account. This system uses the magnetic stripe on the back of each OC ID to identify the person and charge the appropriate printing account. For guest use, a coin operated system has also been installed on the copier located on the first floor of the library.

These public-use copiers can be found in the following locations:

  • 1st floor, OC Library
  • 3rd floor, OC Library
  • Nowlin Center
