Logging Into Your ShoreTel Phone

Follow the instructions below to set up AND assign your Shoretel phone for the first time.

This will need to be done on your ShoreTel phone. You will be setting up a new Voice Mail profile, separate from your Nortel profile.

Press "Voicemail".

Press "Voicemail".

Enter the extension number assigned to you by your system administrator.

Enter the default temporary password of 3456, and then press #.

If you need to set a new password:

1. Enter the new password.

2. Press #.

3. Repeat to confirm password.

Speak your name for your voicemail, and then press #.

Then select from the following options:

# Accept

1 Review

2 Re-record

3 Delete

* Cancel

YOU MUST ASSIGN YOUR EXTENSION for people to be able to reach your account:

Press 7 for voice mail options

Press 3 to re-assign the extension

Then press 1.

When you are done setting up your phone, your screen should list your extension and have your name on the screen.

When you are done setting up your phone, your screen should list your extension and have your name on the screen.

Your name should appear on the screen after you have set up and assigned your ShoreTel phone.

    These instructions were used in the past when we first installed the phones to allow users to claim their own phones. Now, for new users, the phones are already assigned and all the user needs to do is to setup their voice mail (if equipped).
