Long-Distance Call Information

The university does not offer long-distance phone service for students using on-campus landlines. You must seek alternatives to make long-distance calls from campus, such as cell phones, calling cards linked to a long-distance plan, and/or pre-paid calling cards. All local phone calls are free of charge. When dialing on the landline from campus housing, you must first dial 9 to get an outside line to make a local phone call.

Employees can request a long-distance calling code using MyOC. Simply search for long-distance code in the myOC search bar and follow the instructions. When making a phone call, you will type 9-1-xxx-xxx-xxxx and then type the five digit long-distance authorization code when prompted.
