Set up your Gmail account, as an additional account in Apple Mail.
If you need to remove your old exchange account, follow the instructions at the following link:
Verify your information.
BE SURE THAT YOUR ACCOUNT TYPE IS GMAIL IMAP.
Keep in mind that Faculty/Staff email addresses will appear as @oc.edu and Student email addresses will appear as @eagles.oc.edu.
If your account is not automatically configured or tries to configure as an Exchange account:
1. When you enter your Full Name, Email Address, and Password, press Alt on the keyboard as you click Enter.
2. Change the Account Type to IMAP
3. Enter the Description you would like for this email account
4. Enter in imap.gmail.com as the incoming mail server
5. Enter your full email address as the username
6. Enter your password.
7. Click Continue.
1. Enter the Descirption you would like again.
2. Enter in smtp.gmail.com for the Outgoing Mail Server
3. Check Use Authentication
4. Make sure your username is your full email address again, and your password is entered correctly.
5. Click Create.
