Faculty and Staff can set up their email on a mobile device running Android operating systems.
**Disclaimer: Android operating systems will look different on every phone. These screenshots are just meant to give you a general idea of what to select, and not exactly what you should be selecting.**
*****Important Notice to Employees: Configuring you mobile device to access the University email system will require the installation of the Google Apps Device Policy. The application grants our campus system administrators the ability to:
- Require that you have a PIN or password on your device.
- Require a password on your device.
- Require a screen lock for idle timeout on your mobile device.
- Wipe a lost or stolen device.
Additionally, this application gives Android users with version 2.2+ the ability to: **
- Reset PIN
- Ring Device
- Lock Device
- Locate your device
- Wipe your device
You will need to remove your old account from your phone first.
Select everything that you would like synced to your mobile device. You must choose "Sync Gmail" for you email to be received.
Select Next after you have selected everything you would like to have synced.
Pull down the "Menu" bar from the top of the screen to show the Sync Error.
Select the Error to move to the next step.
A screen will pop up saying you need to download a Security Policy App to continue.
