- Install ScreenCast-o-Matic. (Need help? Click to Install Screencast-o-matic).
- Open ScreenCast-o-Matic.
- Click the red record button in the upper right hand corner of the window.

- From here you can change the size of the recorded window by clicking and dragging on the white outlines of the window.
- Clicking and dragging on the cross in the center of the window will move the window along your screen.
- In the lower left hand corner of the screen you can alter your settings.
- You can change the camera to record the window outlined on the screen, your webcam, or both.
- You can set a maximum time to be recorded by clicking on the Max Time tab.
- You can manually select the size of the screen by clicking the Size tab. The current screen size will also be displayed here.
- You can select the microphone you want to use if a peripheral microphone is plugged in by clicking the Narration tab.
- By clicking the Preferences button, you can modify some advanced settings such as hotkeys.
- Click the red Rec button to begin recording your video.
- Once done click the red Pause button and click the Done button.
- From here you can edit the finished video by clicking the Edit button.
- Edit options include:
- Enabling the cursor to be shown on screen by clicking Cursor.
- Create captions by clicking Captions.
- Allow the webcam feed to be visible by clicking Webcam.
- Toggle the narration on or off by clicking Narration.
- Add music by clicking Music.
- Name the video by clicking Enter Recording Name in the upper left corner of the screen.
- Click Done when finished.
- Click Save as Video File to save the file to your computer.
- Change any additional options now and click Publish.
- Once saved, open your Google Drive, and add the video to your Drive.
