This article is for students who want to know how to view their assignment and test grades in a specific course. In addition, this recipe will show you how to view your overall grade in a course if your professor has set up the gradebook to show you your overall grade.
Step 1: Once logged into Blackboard, select the "Courses" tab from the left hand side of the menu.
Step 2: Navigate to the specific course whose grade you would like to view. In this example, the class is "Programming II 2023SP."
Step 3: From the left hand menu select "My Grades."

Step 4: Within the grades section, you should be able to see a list of assignments, exams, or other assessments along with your corresponding grades. Depending on the setup, you may also see additional information such as any instructor feedback provided.
In some courses, depending on how your professor has their grade book set up, you can also view the "Weighted Total" or "Total" points you have in the course right above where all the assignments and tests are. From this, you may be able to deduce exactly what grade you have in the class is, so long as you check the syllabus to see what number ranges (e.g. 80- 90, or 90 - 100) correspond to specific letter grades ("B" or "A"). It is worth saying that the best way to ensure accuracy is by emailing your professor. In perhaps rarer cases, some professors have already set the letter grade to show up when you check my grades.
That being said, if it is past midterms or the course is complete, you can check your overall grade through MyOC. Here is a link to an article that explains how to do that.
