Requirements:
Role: Instructor, Teaching Assistant, or Course Designer.
Access: You must be logged into Canvas and have access to the specific course where you want to post the message.
Step 1: Click on Courses and then on All Courses in your Canvas page.
Step 2: Click and open the course where you want to create the announcement by selecting it from All Courses.
Step 3: Once you’re in the course, click Announcements, then select + Add Announcement.
Step 4: Write your announcement in the text area. Students will be able to view this message. You can also add images or attach files if needed.
Step 5: Scroll down and set the dates for how long the announcement should be available. Click on Publish.
Step 6: It will now be visible to all students enrolled in the course. This would be the student's view:
Success! You have successfully posted an announcement. It will now be visible to all students enrolled in the course.
