With printers requiring an ID card to release documents, you will need to print time sheets from your account instead of the punch-it account. To make this possible, you will need to save the time sheets as a PDF and then print them from your computer.
Connect the PunchIt Machine to the Network Location
- From the PunchIt machine, Press Command-K. The Connect to Server Box should appear.
- Type smb://judah/punchit
- Press Connect.
4. Select Registered User in the "Connect as" field.
5. Log in with your username and password.
6. Press Connect.
Save Time Sheets as a PDF
- Select Admin.
- Log in with your PunchIt Admin Password.
- Press OK.
- Select the "Paying People" button
- Choose the starting date for the PayPeriod you want to print or choose the first week in the pay period.
- Press the correct button to generate the Time Sheet (Usually 2-week Pay period)
- Press File < Print to open the Print Menu
- On the Print Menu, use the PDF drop-down to select "Save as PDF"
- In the Save dialog box, Press the arrow next to the Save As box to expend the menu.
- Select Judah.
- Select the PunchIt directory
- Change the Save As name to a name that includes your area and the date.
- Press Save.
Open the file on your computer and print it (Windows)
Return to your computer to open the file and print it.
- Press the Start menu. In the search box type \\Judah\PunchIt
- If prompted, enter your username and password.
- In the window that opens, find the file you created and double-click on it to open it.
- Print the file and then swipe your ID card to release it.
Open the file on your computer and Print it. (Mac)
Return to your computer to open the file and print it.
- Press Command-K. The Connect to Server Box should appear.
- Type smb://judah/punchit
- Press Connect.
- If prompted, enter your username and password.
- Find the file you created and double-click on it to open it.
- Print the file and then swipe your ID card to release it.
