You can customize the web interface of your Gmail account. This answer provides instructions on how to alter some of the most common customization settings. You can customize how close together your information is spaced. Follow these instructions to alter your display spacing.
Settings
- Click the Settings icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click Display Density
Choose View
- Toggle between the different views.
- You will see a preview here
- Click OK when you have chosen your view.
You can customize the way your inbox is configured or organized. Follow these instructions to configure your inbox.
Settings
- Click the 'Settings' icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click Configure Inbox
Choose Configuration
- Choose which tabs you would like to be available in your inbox.
- Click save.
You can customize the background of your email. Follow these instructions to change the background of your email.

- Click on the 'Settings' icon in the top right corner of your screen.
- Click Themes
- Select your theme. There will be many themes available to you. If you would like, you can also upload a photo.
- Click Save
You can customize the view of your inbox and some of its functionality. Follow these instructions for changing its view and/or its functionalities.
