This page provides instructions for installing Laserfiche.
This program is only available for certain users due to licensing agreements. If you do not have access and believe you should have access to this program, please contact Support Central.
This installation process may require you to restart your computer. Please save and close all of your data now.
Connect to Server
- Click the Start button
- Type \\software.oc.edu\dist\Laserfiche\Avante\10.3\LF10.3 in the search bar and hit Enter.
Open Autorun File
- Double click Autorun to open the file.
Select Language
- Select English
Install Client
- Select Windows Client 10.3.1 Installation
Allow Changes if Prompted
- You may be asked if you would like to allow the program to make changes to your computer. If so, click Yes. If you are not asked, proceed to the next step.
Start the Setup
- Click Next
License Agreement
- Select I accept the terms in the License Agreement
- Click Next
Custom Install
- Select Custom
- Click Next
Select Custom Options
- Confirm that the component options are set up as illustrated in the picture. There should be a check next to the following Components:
- Laserfiche Windows Client 10.3
- Laserfiche Office Integration 10.3
- Laserfiche Snapshot 10.3
- Laserfiche Scanning 10.3
- OmniPage OCR
- NOTE: Please UNCHECK the box next to Laserfiche PhotoDocs 10.3, if checked.
2. Click Next
Confirm Setup
- Click Install
Install Prerequisites
- The prerequisites will automatically start to install.
- NOTE: This may take several minutes.
Prerequisites Successfully Installed
- All of the prerequisite items have been installed. Click Next
Install Main Component
- After completing in the previous step, this screen will appear. The main component of Laserfiche is being installed. Please note that this could take several minutes. Please do not let your computer shut down or fall asleep during this step.
- When it has finished, click Next
Installation Complete
- Click Finish
Install the Client Key
- Make sure Laserfiche is closed.
- Connect to server: \\software.oc.edu\dist\Laserfiche\Extras
- Double click on the file named LFRegKey
Allow Changes
- If prompted, click Yes to allow registry editor to make changes to your computer. If this window does not appear, proceed to the next step.
Registry Editor Confirmation
- Click Yes to continue. If this window does not appear, proceed to the next step.
Registry Editor Success
- Click Ok
Success!
You have successfully installed Laserfiche.
