Parallels License Expiration

Employees having trouble with Parallels license expiration can deactivate and then re-activate Parallels to renew the license.

  • When the error message appears, click Close.

Obtain License Key

Obtain License Key
  1. Click Command-K to open the Connect to Server Dialog box.
  2. Type smb://software.oc.edu/dist/parallels in the Server Address field.
  3. Click Connect
  4. Navigate to the 12 folder
  5. Open the license.txt file.

Enter Activation Key

  1. Copy the license key from the text file.
  2. From the Parallels Desktop menu, select Account & License.
  3. Paste the licence key into the activation window (a green arrow should appear beside the box)
  4. Click Activate

Success!

You have successfully reactivated Parallels Desktop.
