When starting up your computer, it will go through a boot process. The boot process begins the moment you turn your device on. Once the boot process commences, it will automatically start up certain apps that will run. When you have too many of these apps set to run after start up, it will slow down your computer during the start up process. Below is what you can do to reduce the amount of time it takes to turn on your computer.
Method 1
- Navigate to settings
- Type in “Startup”
- Turn off whichever apps that you don’t want to start with your computer.
Method 2
- Navigate to settings
- Type in “Task Manager”
- A window should pop up
- Click “Startup” on the top of the window
- Click one of the applications that are running
- On the bottom right, click “Disable”
If Neither of these methods work, its likely your computer has other underlying issues. Please bring it in to Support Central so that we may investigate further.
