Enable Pop-ups in Web Browser

Certain programs require pop-up windows to be enabled in your internet browser. To enable pop-ups, choose your web browser and follow the instructions.

Google Chrome

Advanced Settings

  • Click Advanced at the bottom of the settings page

Control Content Settings

  1. Under Privacy and Security...
  2. click Content Settings

Locate Pop-ups Settings

  • Scroll down to find Popups

Configure Pop-ups

  1. To allow popups, make sure the switch is blue and to the right.
  2. To block popups on specific websites, add websites here.
  3. To always allow popups on specific websites, add websites here.

Success!

You have successfully enabled popups in Google Chrome.

Safari

Enable/Disable Pop-ups

  1. Go to the Security tab
  2. Check the box to Block pop-up windows (uncheck the box to allow pop-ups windows)

Success!

You have successfully configured pop-up windows in Safari.

Internet Explorer

Turn Off Pop-up Blocker

  1. Click the Privacy tab
  2. Uncheck the box Turn on Pop-up Blocker
  3. Click Apply

Allow Certain Sites (optional)

Allow Certain Sites

If you would like to leave pop-up blocker on, but allow certain sites:

  1. Leave the pop-up blocker box checked.
  2. Click Settings
  3. Type the address of the website you would like to allow. (Ex. colleague.oc.edu)
  4. Click Add
  5. Click Close
  6. Click OK

You have successfully enabled pop-ups in Internet Explorer.

Firefox

Success!

You have successfully configured pop-up windows in Firefox.
