There are multiple scenarios in which you might want to make a test or quiz available to a specific student (or set of students). The most common is if a student, for whatever reason, was unable to complete the exam during the window of time it was available.
Prerequisites for this Recipe
- Signed into Blackboard
- Enrolled as an Instructor / TA in the course
Locate Desired Quiz/Test
Go to the test that you would like to make available to a subset of student(s) in your course.
Edit Test Options
Step 1: Click the down arrow next to the desired test.
Step 2: Click Edit the Test Options
Test Availability Exceptions
Step 3: From there, scroll down till you see Test Availability Exceptions.
Step 4: Under Test Availability Exceptions, click Add User or Group.
Step 5: Select the student(s) whom the exception is to be made.
Step 6: Once you select a student's name, you will need to select how many attempts they are allowed.
Step 7: Click on the Calendar Icon below "Availability," and select the window of time you want the test to be available to the specific student(s)
Submit
Step 8: Click Submit Button.

The added students should now be able to retake the exam/test.
