OC livestreams many events on campus such as concerts, sports events, and other various events. If the livestream player is not functioning correctly, please try the troubleshooting tips below.
If these tips do not work, please email support@oc.edu with your browser name (Safari, Chrome, Firefox, etc.), operating system (Mac, Windows, etc.), and a detailed description of the issue including any error messages that you may have received.
Enable JavaScript
JavaScript is a scripting or programming language that allows you to implement complex things on web pages. Please make sure JavaScript has been enabled on your web browser. Click on your web browser below to reveal instructions for enabling JavaScript on that particular web browser.
Customize/Control
Click the Customize & Control button in the top right corner of your browser window.
Settings
Click Settings
Advanced Settings
Click Advanced at the bottom of the page to reveal more settings.
Privacy & Security
Under Privacy and Security, click Content settings
JavaScript Settings
Click JavaScript
Enable JavaScript
On the Allowed (recommended) line, make sure the switch is on. If it is on, it will be colored blue with the circle on the right.
You have successfully enabled JavaScript in Chrome.
Advanced Configuration URL
In the URL bar, type about:config and hit the Enter key on your keyboard.
Accept the Risk
Click the button I accept the risk!
Search for JavaScript
In the Search bar, type Javascript.enabled
Enable JavaScript
Under Preference Name, you should see javascript.enabled. Under Value, you should see true if JavaScript is enabled. If it is not enabled, it will say False.
If the value is labeled False, double-click it to toggle it to true.
You have successfully enabled JavaScript in Firefox.
Open Preferences
- Click Safari in the top left corner.
- Click Preferences.
Security
- Click Security
- Check the box next to Enable JavaScript
You have successfully enabled JavaScript in Safari
Internet Options
- Click the Settings gear in the top right corner
- Click Internet Options
Custom Level
- Click Security
- Click Custom Level
Enable Scripting
- Scroll down to the Scripting section
- Click Enable under Active Scripting
- Click OK
Confirm Changes
Click Yes to change settings for this zone.
Accept the Changes
Click OK at the bottom of the Internet Options screen.
You have successfully enabled JavaScript in Internet Explorer.
Check Video Streaming Abilities
Go to YouTube or Vimeo and see if you can watch videos without buffering issues. If videos seem to have problems loading, your internet connection may not be strong enough to handle live streaming. If you can watch videos without any loading problems, please contact Support Central.
