Create/Edit a Contentlet
Locate Desired Page

Using the menu on the left hand side, locate the page you would like to add content to. Double-click on the page.
Lock for Editing

On the left-hand side, click Lock for Editing.
Locate Where to Edit Content

The web page may have several areas where you are able to edit content. Click any of the Edit Content buttons to edit content on that part of the page.
Locate Desired Page

Using the menu on the left hand side, locate the page you would like to add content to. Double-click on the page.
Lock for Editing

On the left-hand side, click Lock for Editing.
Locate Where to Add Content

The web page may have several areas where you are able to add content. Click any of the Add Content buttons to add content to that part of the page.
Add Content

- Once you have located where to add content, click the Add Content button.
- Click New Content from the resulting menu.
Content Information
- In the Title field, enter the department acronyms, the content name, summary, or topic, and your username.
- Click the Select Folder drop-down menu and choose the folder that the page resides in.
- In the Body text area, type in the text that will be displayed on the page. NOTE: Do NOT use edit colors, font family, or font size. Do NOT copy and paste from a rich text editor (Microsoft Word) or from the web.
Highlight Desired Link

- Click and drag over the desired text to highlight it.
- Click the Insert/Edit Link icon.
External Links

External links will direct the user to a webpage that is not contained within the oc.edu domain.
- Copy and paste the desired URL you would like your text to link to.
- Text to Display will already be entered in for you.
- Enter a title for this link. A similar but abbreviated version of the text you highlighted is recommended.
- If you would like the link to redirect the user on their current webpage, choose None. If you would like the user's browser to open a new window with the link on it, choose New Window.
- Click Ok
Internal Links

Internal links will direct the user to a webpage that is contained within the oc.edu domain.
Click the Browse icon next to the URL text box.
Locate Desired Web Page
- Use the file folders on the left to locate the picture you would like to add.
- You can type names of images to filter your selection in the Filter box.
- Click Clear to clear your filter search.
- Click Upload New File to add an image from your computer.
- You can change the view of the picture selection with this button.
- Click Next or Previous to scroll through the images.
- Click on the image you would like to add to the contentlet.
Link Information

- After browsing for the internal link, the URL will be filled in automatically.
- Text to Display will already be entered in for you.
- Enter a title for this link. A similar but abbreviated version of the text you highlighted is recommended.
- If you would like the link to redirect the user on their current webpage, choose None. If you would like the user's browser to open a new window with the link on it, choose New Window.
- Click Ok
Save Content

Click Save to save now and publish later or click Save / Publish to save and publish now.
NOTE: Save/Publish will make the content visible as soon as the page is published.
Release Lock

Click Release Lock to allow others to edit the web page.
Success!
