These links will open the user's email client when clicked on. This is most commonly used when someone's email address is listed.
Lock for Editing
On the left-hand side, click Lock for Editing.
Choose what Content to Edit
Click the Edit Content button of the contentlet you would like to link to an email.
Insert/Edit Link
- Highlight the text you would like to use to link to an email.
- Click the Hyperlink button
Mailto: Email
- in the URL field, type mailto:emailaddress with no spaces. Example: mailto:user.name@oc.edu
- Title the email link with the person's username followed by email
- Make sure the Target field is marked as New Window
- Click OK
Save Content
Click Save to save now and publish later or click Save / Publish to save and publish now.
NOTE: Save/Publish will make the content visible as soon as the page is published.
Release Lock
Click Release Lock to allow others to edit the web page.
